CYNORA Announces Availability of Industry’s First Device Test Kits for TADF Deep Green Emitters for Next-Generation OLED Displays
Marking a new innovation trajectory for the OLED industry, CYNORA today announced that device test kits for its Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF)-based Deep Green emitter for next-generation OLED displays are now available to customers. The development is an industry-first milestone for TADF technology, and validates CYNORA’s roadmap commitment.
As we turn the corner into 2021, we head straight into CES, the premier annual showcase of consumer electronics innovation. This year’s event will feature 1000 exhibits and 100 programming hours. It’s all digital but virtually In Real Life (IRL), thanks to continuous innovations in display technologies.
CYNORA today announced the appointment of former Samsung Display and LG Chem executive, Ok-Keun Song, Ph.D. as Vice President of Engineering. CYNORA is an emerging OLED materials leader with differentiated solutions to help display manufacturers unleash the full efficiency potential of next-generation OLED devices found in high-end smartphones, laptops, and other consumer electronics devices.
High-definition TVs (HDTVs) dominated attention at the IFA show earlier this month in Berlin, when leading manufacturers rolled out TVs featuring ultra-thin form factors and superb video quality. And still display leaders continue to harness the untapped potential of display-enabling technologies to offer consumers an even more perfect viewing experience.
In a fitting salute to advanced display technology, display professionals worldwide will gather at Display Week 2020 through the displays on their mobile or laptop devices. Bernhard joined our leadership team last month. His special expertise is helping companies anticipate technology trends and develop winning products well before the trends become mainstream realities. An early and firm believer in OLED technology, he introduced the world’s first OLED lighting products to the global market.

Jan is no newcomer to emerging science-based companies like CYNORA. In fact, he’s got a special flair for developing disruptive technologies at high-growth startups. Before CYNORA, he helped pioneer a novel laser-based wafering solution at Siltectra, a Dresden-based company that was acquired by Infineon Technologies. He’s bringing the same drive for innovation, process excellence, and product leadership to CYNORA.
We are thrilled to welcome two new executives to our leadership team. Dr. Jan Richter joins as Chief Technology Officer and Dr. Bernhard Stapp joins as Chief Strategy Advisor. Both bring deep technology credentials to CYNORA, and extensive leadership experience with companies ranging from venture-backed startups to large global corporations.
Their arrival marks a new high point for CYNORA. Earlier this year we launched our first product, the cyBlueBooster™, offering OLED manufacturers a new fluorescent blue emitter with higher efficiency advantages than comparative products. The pace of innovation continues as we transition from a research-focused materials discovery company to one that is product-focused.

Opening Ceremony of the new state-of-the-art cleanroom
On the 29th of October 2019, CYNORA officially opened a new cleanroom building in Bruchsal. The Representatives of the German Federal Parliament of the district of Bruchsal-Schwetzingen Mr. Olav Gutting and Dr. Danyal Bayaz, the State Secretary for the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Housing in Baden-Württemberg Ms. Katrin Schütz, and the Mayoress of Bruchsal Ms. Cornelia Petzold-Schick all attended the event along with other guests.

OLED materials innovator CYNORA secures US$25M in first closing of Series C Round. CYNORA names Adam Kablanian as new Chief Executive Officer.
Marking the initial closing of its Series C funding round, CYNORA today announced that it has secured US$25M in financing from investors in Asia, Europe and the US. Germany-based CYNORA is an emerging materials leader with a novel technology to produce ultra-high-efficiency emitter systems required for next-generation Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) displays. The company has raised US$80M since its inception in 2008. Final closing of the C round with an additional investment is expected shortly.

CYNORA, a leader in TADF (thermally activated delayed fluorescence) materials for Next-generation OLEDs, extends its Joint Development Agreement with LG Display. After two years of joint development since 2016, CYNORA and LG Display have decided to continue their cooperation towards the commercialization of TADF emitters in OLED displays.

Due to fast progress and focus on industry needs, CYNORA tripled its team and went from 23 employees end of 2015 to 112 begin of September 2018.
